Precautions before driving a vehicle
What are the precautions when driving a vehicle?
Before entering the vehicle
• Confirm that all car windows, rearview mirrors, and lighting fixtures are clean.
• Visually inspect whether the tires are damaged or embedded with foreign objects, and whether the inflation pressure is appropriate.
• Check if there is any oil leakage under the car.
• Check if the engine oil and other fluids are at normal levels.
Before starting the engine
• Close and lock the car doors.
• Check the position of the seat, seat back, and seat headrest to maintain correct sitting posture.
• Adjust the exterior and interior rearview mirrors.
• Ensure that all personnel fasten their seat belts.
• Check the operation of the warning light on the combination instrument panel when the vehicle power is in the ON position.
• Release the parking brake and confirm that the parking brake light is off.
• For diesel engine vehicles: In cold environments, the engine has an automatic electric heating function, which can heat the cylinder temperature. When the temperature reaches the preset temperature, the preheating indicator light on the combination instrument will automatically turn off, and the engine can be started. If the temperature is too low, a longer preheating time will be required.
After starting the engine
• Release the parking brake and confirm that the parking brake light is off.
• After starting, the engine should be warmed up and the oil pressure indicator should be checked for normal operation. Idle operation should not exceed 3 minutes. The idle running time after starting in winter should be appropriately extended.
• During driving, if you step on the brake pedal and hear sharp or friction noise (metal "squeaking" sound), you should immediately go to the nearest authorized service outlet of Changan Kaicheng to check and replace the brake pads.
• Check for any leakage sounds in the exhaust system. If any leakage is found, please immediately contact the authorized service outlet of Chang'an Kaicheng.
